The urban scripter is a person who writes scripts for cities, neighborhoods, and buildings.
Choose a public space or building in your city, town, or neighborhood where you have never been before, or that makes you curious. Go to the place, bring a pen and paper and sit down for 45 minutes.
Observe the place by writing down everything you see, smell, hear, feel, touch, or encounter. Collect texts, words, sentences (either read or heard), describe encounters between people, situations, textures, thoughts, sounds, objects that you find interesting, architectural elements, bodies, moods, movements and so on. Create a script of this place by writing down all that happens around you without judgement.
I was introduced to urban scripting while living in the Netherlands and loved the concept. It could also be adapted to other places outside of urban areas.
